Group Lectio Divina

Every first Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the Church we have Group Letio Divina. Following an old form of Christian Spirituality we listen to a scripture passage, reflect upon what part of the passage has meaning to us and then share  how our personal experiences mirror this passage.

“The darkest scriptures of the mountains are illuminated with bright passages of love.” - John Muir.

If you would like to experience God’s cathedral of nature, take a walk with the Hike-a-Palians. Hikes are normally scheduled for Fridays, usually last 2-4 hours and are never too difficult. E-mail Tom Marker at

Daughters of the King

DOKDaughters of the King is a lay religious order dedicated to prayer, service and evangelism. The Mary-Martha Chapter at Transfiguration meets weekly on Mondays. We begin with a coming-together at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel at St. Joseph and St. Mary's to share our prayer needs - for those who are ill, jobless, or caregivers. We pray for the world, for peace, for the Haitian people, for children, for our church and any other prayer need. At 5:30 p.m., we come together for Evening Prayer in the chapel. The members of our group sponsor a Haitian child in his elementary schooling. We also volunteer at EChO, and our members volunteer their time in many other ways. We would love to have new people join us any time.
