About Our School

The Episcopal Day School of Evergreen is located on the campus of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. We are a private/non profit licensed facility that is dedicated to providing high quality child care. Our staff is comprised of lead teachers who meet all state requirements as outlined in the Colorado State Rules and Regulations. In addition, our staff members participate in ongoing professional development through staff meetings, workshops and conferences and are members of the National Association of Early Childhood Educators.

Philosophy and Educational Goals

We provide a nurturing atmosphere that will enable the young child the opportunity to develop personal-social skills for successful, pleasant interactions with peers, adults and the environment. We strive to instill a positive sense of self-esteem and love, as well as foster academic readiness through attention to colors, shapes, numbers, creativity and imagination.

Curriculum

The Episcopal Day School of Evergreen utilizes a Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) when planning curriculum. Our teaching practices are based on the observation and responsiveness to children as learners with developing abilities who differ from one another by rate of growth and individual differences. The learning experiences are respectful of the social and cultural aspects of the children and their families. A school wide theme is implemented each month and activities are chosen to reflect the curriculum goals.

Tuition and Fees

Registration Fees
Registration Fee: $50.00 due at enrollment and is non refundable if a space is available.
Supply/Snack Fee: $50.00 due by the first day of school.
(the supply fee covers daily snacks, juice, craft supplies, cooking classes, music and play equipment)

Tuition
1 day per week- $120.00 per month
2 days per week- $240.00 per month
3 days per week- $360.00 per month
4 days per week- $480.00 per month

Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. There will be 9 monthly installments from September through May. You may pay tuition in person or by mail. Please make checks payable to Episcopal Day School of Evergreen (EDSE) and put the month you are paying for on the check. You may pay for more than one month at a time.

A late fee of $20.00 will be charged after the 10th of each month.

Although nonprofit, EDSE is self-supporting and depends on your prompt payment of tuition to meet its obligations. Refunds will not be offered for absences of children due to illness, vacations, those withdrawn from the program before the month is over or because of days missed as a result of inclement weather.

If it is necessary to withdraw a child, the parent should inform the Director in writing at least one month before withdrawal. If we are not informed in this manner, the tuition for the next month of EDSE will be charged.
