NEW AND UP COMING EVENTS

Transfiguration Book Club – will meet on Wed. April 18th at 6:30 p.m. in Stewart Lounge. The book for discussion will be The Alice Network. Everyone is welcome! Bring a snack to share if you would like.

Bluegrass Show at COT - Featuring The Lonesome Days with special guests By The Lee. Concert will be Friday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Tickets are only available at the door and are $20 for adults and $10 for kids.

ECW Events Ladies Night Out – on Tues. Apr. 24th at 6:00 p.m. at Cedar 65 in Evergreen. Please RSVP to Janice Theobald at (720) 484-4365 or at jktheobald1@gmail.com. Simply Sacred Living – a one day Mini-Retreat on Sat. Apr. 28th  from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at St. John Chrysostom Episcopal Church in Golden. Guest speaker will be Jerusalem Jackson Greer. The Kirkin’ o’ The Tartans – is Sunday, April 29th at 11:15 a.m. at St. John’s Cathedral in Denver. Please sign up in the back of the sanctuary to reserve pew space.

Israeli/Palestinian Conflict Conversation: Part II – Sunday, April 29th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Church of the Transfiguration will sponsor part 2 of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict conversation. Rabbi Jamie Arnold of Beth Evergreen and Dr. Russell Arnold, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Regis University, will again conduct the program. The purpose is to continue to build relationships and skills to talk with each other about these important issues. There is no charge to attend, but a free-will offering to benefit the Outreach Program here will be appreciated. World Vision 6K Walk for Water – 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) is the average distance that people must walk for potable water in many parts of the world, especially in Africa. World Vision is initiating a 6K walk on May 19th and proceeds will help provide potable water that will be located closer to communities that need it. Dead Sea Scrolls at the DMNS – The Dead Sea Scrolls will be on exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science from March 16th through September 3rd. Visit DMNS.org for more information.

Daughters of the King Evening Prayer – is every 2nd and 4th Mondays at 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Centering Prayer Group – Please join us for Centering Prayer every Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Any questions, please contact Mary Haave at mhaave74@gmail.com or Maria Rosa Galter at mariarosagalter@gmail.com.

Bible Study – meets every other Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at St. Rafaels. The group will meet every other Wednesday after that. Contact Robin at robin.tems@yahoo.com.

Camino Divina – meets every Thursday to practice “Walking the Divine Way” from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Alderfer Ranch (by the barn).  Maria Rosa Galter (mariarosagalter@gmail.com) facilitates this meditation/walking/discussion hike.

Hike-a-Palians – meets every Friday, weather permitting, to experience God’s cathedral of nature. Hikes usually last 2-4 hours and are never too difficult. Contact Tom Marker at tbmarker@gmail.com.

HIKE-A-PALIANS: This informal group hikes once a week, usually on Fridays in the local area.  The hikes range from 2-7 miles and are usually 3-4 hrs.  If you would like to be added to the hike notification list, send your email address to tbmarker@aol.com.  Enjoy God's outdoor cathedral with some really nice people.
