Church in the Meadow – all summer the second Sunday of the month: August 13th and September 10th at 9:30 a.m. If there is a Meadow Service there is only one service that day. These are great services to invite friends, family and neighbors.
Stephen Ministry Training – meets every Tuesday through October in Stewart Lounge from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This is a ministry of lay people who are trained to provide one-on-one care to those experiencing personal difficulties. International Rescue Committee - works with local refugees. Marcia Walsh is coordinating volunteers at CoT. Two ways to volunteer this month: 1) write a letter to RTD to reconsider recent change restricting RTD’s nonprofit program and 2) volunteer to serve with refugees. Women’s Retreat - The retreat is scheduled for Sunday, September 1-3, 2017 (Friday-Sunday, Labor Day Weekend) at Cathedral Ridge, a beautiful retreat center run by the Diocese of Colorado. Emergency Shelter Program De-escalation Training – will be September 12th from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. at Bergen Park Church. All new and current volunteers are encouraged to attend. For more information contact Sara Gadeken at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hike-a-Palians - Every Friday, weather permitting you can experience God’s cathedral of nature. The hikes usually last 2-4 hours and are never too difficult. Contact Tom Marker at email@example.com.Camino Divina - Practice “Walking the Divine Way” every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Alderfer Ranch (by the barn). HIKE-A-PALIANS: This informal group hikes once a week, usually on Fridays in the local area. The hikes range from 2-7 miles and are usually 3-4 hrs.
